Kenai
Kenai, Alaska, population 7464, sits on the Kenai Peninsula where the Kenai River flows into Cook Inlet. About 150 miles (a 3 hour drive) south of Anchorage by road, Kenai is also served by scheduled flights from Anchorage. The Kenai area was first inhabited by Kachemak people, then Dena’ina Athabascans, then Russian settlers.
