Soldotna

Soldotna, Alaska is on the Kenai Peninsula, where the Sterling Highway crosses the Kenai River, 147 miles southwest of Anchorage. The area was settled after WW2 under the Homestead Act.  Soldotna is known for sport fishing on the Kenai River, and boasts 3700 feet of boardwalk for fishing along the river.
