Kodiak
Kodiak, Alaska is a city of over 6000 situated on Kodiak Island, off the south coast of Alaska. Sometimes known as “Alaska’s Emerald Isle,” Kodiak boasts lush green vegetation, abundant wildlife, and snow-capped mountains plunging into deep fjords. The island has a rich Alutiiq culture, and was the capital of Russian Alaska. Modern-day Kodiak is the largest commercial fishing port in Alaska and the site of a US Coast Guard Station.
